Introduction to LCA and SimaPro On Demand
This course is designed for future LCA practitioners. Students are introduced to life cycle thinking and the ISO standard methodology for conducting an LCA, all while learning hands-on in SimaPro. Students gain insight into each of the iterative steps of an LCA (goal and scope, inventory analysis, impact assessment, interpretation) and how findings are tested for completeness, sensitivity, and consistency.
Through the course, students gain understanding of ISO 14040/14044 standard methodology and work through complex concepts of LCAs through a series of exercises and lectures. Lessons are pre-recorded and taught by an experienced LCA/SimaPro professional.
