Single Reviewer and Panel Reviews
The appropriate review process depends on the intended use of the study.
For many published LCAs and environmental claims, an independent review by a qualified external reviewer is sufficient.
However, ISO 14044 requires a panel review when an LCA is used to support a public comparative assertion. In these cases, the review panel typically consists of a chairperson and at least two additional independent experts with relevant technical expertise.
