The LTS LCA Certificate Training Programs are designed to guide students through purposefully crafted classes that teach the skill sets necessary to achieve a desired level of LCA proficiency. Whether looking to master the SimaPro software, successfully manage an LCA project from start to finish, or become a top level certified ACLCA practitioner; choose the training program specifically designed to take you there.
The LTS LCA training certification program couples LCA modeling skills with LCA interpretation and report writing skills. After completing the LCA Practitioner program of study, and meeting the ACLCA prerequisites, students have the knowledge to sit for the American Center for Life Cycle Assessment LCACP exam.
Our training certification program does not require courses to be completed within a minimum time period. Certificates will be awarded to individuals who have successfully completed the course(s) required and passed each course’s exam (80% or greater), in accordance with ASTM E2659-18. The end of course assessments are a 20-question multiple choice quiz that takes less than 20 minutes to complete.
SIMAPRO USER CERTIFICATE
To introduce students to the concept of life cycle thinking and the ISO standard methodology for conducting a LCA, as well as to provide practical experience in the SimaPro software.
APPLICATION OF LCA CERTIFICATE PROGRAM
To provide a foundational understanding of the life cycle assessment (LCA) methodology. Target audiences for this certificate include executives, corporate sustainability professionals, product managers, MBA students, undergraduate and graduate students in sustainability fields, among others.
SIMAPRO ADVANCED USER CERTIFICATE
To give advanced LCA practitioners hands-on experience developing and using parameters, modeling life cycle and end of life scenarios, and building a custom impact assessment method in the SimaPro software.
LCA MANAGER CERTIFICATE
An LTS LCA Manager can knowledgeably read LCA reports, direct LCA programs and apply LCA insights to corporate sustainability programs.
LCA PRACTITIONER CERTIFICATE
Upon completing the practitioner program of study, students have the knowledge to sit for the American Center for Life Cycle Assessment LCACP exam, if they meet the ACLCA exam prerequisites.
LCA MASTER PRACTITIONER CERTIFICATE
An LTS LCA Master Practitioner has proven that they have technical LCA modeling skills and ability to interpret and communicate LCA results within the broader business environment.
