New Training Certificate Program and Upcoming Classes
For nearly two decades, LTS has trained professionals and academia in sustainability assessment and management techniques. Leaders in sustainability training, with industry recognized Certificate Training Programs, we have over a dozen custom developed courses ranging from beginner to expert level. We can provide you with the tools and the knowledge needed to competently evaluate environmental impacts and make informed decisions that avoid trade-offs.
We offer a wide range of online training classes, from those new to LCA to experienced practitioners looking to expand their knowledge and skills. Join a regularly offered class (see our Class Calendar) or schedule a course at your convenience for a small fee. Educational discounts are available. Our courses are highly interactive and include time for Q&A. PDFs of the slides and accompanying hands-on exercises are provided, as well as a temporary SimaPro license, if needed.
New Application of LCA Certificate Program
We are pleased to share that we have a new certificate program, Application of LCA, intended for executives, corporate sustainability professionals, product managers, MBA students, undergraduate and graduate students in sustainability fields, among others! In three interactive online sessions participants will learn what the life cycle assessment (LCA) methodology is and what questions it can answer. Multiple case studies will be presented, with ample discussion and class exercises.
The certificate program also includes hands-on exercises in the world’s leading LCA software, SimaPro, giving participants an important “behind the scenes” experience in what goes into building an LCA model. Additionally, participants will learn a framework for LCA reports while exploring the nuance of communicating LCA results with different audiences.
The program is offered next on October 26 for LCA 101, October 28 for Basic LCA Modeling and November 4 for Communicating LCA Results.

LTS Certificate Courses Approved by ACLCA
Did you know that our SimaPro User Certificate and LCA Practitioner Certificate courses were approved by the ACLCA as a recommended path to learning the LCA methodology and pre-approved to qualify for Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for Certified Life Cycle Assessment Practitioners (LCACP).
