Consequential LCA Modeling LIVE
Do you want to learn how to conduct a Consequential LCA? Our updated training course is designed to provide you with the necessary knowledge to take advantage of powerful LCA modeling features in Ecoinvent 3.11 and SimaPro 10. This training course will clarify what consequential vs. attributional modelling is, and what it implies for LCA calculations and interpretation of results.
Consequential LCA modeling is increasingly being adopted by LCA practitioners looking for a broader understanding of the environmental implications of production and consumption decisions, and Long Trail Sustainability is giving you the opportunity to learn about this emerging methodology through a session of instruction and modeling exercises.
You will learn how the consequential dataset works in Ecoinvent 3.11 and how to organize foreground data in SimaPro 10 for a consequential LCA. After having attended the training, the participant will be able to understand and interpret LCA studies based on consequential and attributional approaches. Furthermore, the participants will have achieved a basic level to perform consequential modelling on their own LCA studies.
Topics –
- Introduction to life cycle modelling in LCA – and the consequential and attributional approaches to this. Life cycle concepts and definitions.
- History of consequential and attributional modelling in LCA, and how consequential LCA modelling is implemented within ISO standards.
