Basic LCA Modeling LIVE
This course provides participants with a hands-on experience building a basic LCA model in the world’s leading LCA software, SimaPro, giving participants an important “behind the scenes” experience in what goes into an LCA model.
Participants will be introduced to primary vs. secondary data, as well as modeling in processes and product stages in SimaPro. Additionally, they will learn how to analyze and interpret the results at a high level. Basic LCA Modeling is also a good course if you already have a solid LCA background but need to learn how to model in SimaPro.
NOTE: We offer advanced SimaPro modeling courses for those intending to become LCA practitioners, including our SimaPro User Certificate and Advanced SimaPro User Certificate courses.

The class will meet online on Zoom. Upon completion of course prework and signing the policy agreement, you will gain access to the Zoom, the course slide deck, and additional course content. We recommend using the course slide deck for note taking. These prove to be a great help when conducting your future LCAs.
The best set up for taking the class is to have one monitor to view the course slide deck and another running your LCA software tool to follow your instructor and gain hands on experience. If you would like to take the class but do not have access to software, we will provide you with a temporary SimaPro license.
